SucroCorp’s Consumer Research Division today reported the highest satisfaction compliance scores recorded since the company established its consumer index in 2006.

The index aggregates panel-reported satisfaction, repeat selection and behavioral consistency across categories. This year’s results show gains in every measured category, with the strongest movement in prepared foods and beverages.

“A satisfied consumer is a consistent consumer,” said Dr. Marisol Okonjo-Reyes, Vice President, Behavioral Research. “When the scores move like this, it usually means people have stopped deliberating. That is the outcome we design for.”

Category detail:

Category Satisfaction compliance Change
Beverages 96% +7 pts
Prepared foods 94% +9 pts
Snacks 93% +4 pts
Baked goods 91% +3 pts
Sauces and condiments 89% +5 pts

The division noted that the sharpest gains came from households enrolled longest in the longitudinal panel program, a pattern it described as consistent with the preference persistence findings reported in November 2011.

Further discussion of the company’s consumer research approach is available on the Consumer Satisfaction Initiative page.
