Abstract
This summary presents general findings from the Consumer Satisfaction Initiative. Panel protocols, participant records, formulation detail and program-level data are held under internal classification and are not included.
All research described was conducted with voluntary, compensated adult participants under the company’s internal review protocols.
01Scope
The Initiative examines how ingredient formulation influences meal satisfaction, repeat preference and long-term consumption behavior. Work is conducted at the Lincoln County Consumer Research Center using sensory evaluation panels and a longitudinal household study program.
02Preference persistence
Most food products lose preference within the first several months following household adoption. The Initiative has identified formulation characteristics associated with materially slower decline.
Products reformulated under Initiative guidance showed improvement in twelve-month repeat selection across every tested category. Preference persistence is a stronger predictor of long-term category performance than initial preference.
03Caloric acceptance
Caloric acceptance describes the caloric density a participant will accept within a single serving before reporting that the portion feels large.
Formulation adjustments raised measured caloric acceptance without a corresponding change in participant-reported fullness. Participants in adjusted-formulation arms consistently reported servings as comparable in size to reference formulations.
04Behavioral consistency
Behavioral consistency describes the degree to which an individual’s selections remain stable across repeated sessions. Adjusted-formulation arms showed higher consistency scores at every measured interval.
Recent trials demonstrated measurable reductions in unnecessary food-selection behavior. Participants deliberated less, revisited alternatives less frequently, and reported higher satisfaction with the selection they made.

05Application
Findings are incorporated into formulation guidance offered to customers under the SucroPlus platform. Further evaluation is scheduled at expanded panel scale and, for designated programs, at production scale.
